People new to short tails have asked me how do you trim the tail to make it look better (and shorter!). Well, there are plenty out there better at scissoring than I am, but here is a short step-by-step instruction.
Here is Kiwi. Her brush of pale hair has not been trimmed for a while, but is not of full length.
Lift up the red top coat to keep it safe while scissoring.
Trim around the edges with sharp scissors to neaten the tail, but leave enough red topcoat to cover the knob while tail is lifted.
Eh voila, a tail that appears half the length of before! And less eye catching...
