Sara was our first import,
she was a wonderful mum and gave us 3 lovely litters, counting 2 champions and 7 cc winners. When Sara took the mentality test at the Army's training center for dogs in Sweden, the major in charge said: If only we could breed German Shepherds as steady as her and with such strong psyche, we could half the number of litters! As you understand, she passed with flying colours!
Julius was a great character, full of fun, loved to climb, even balancing on my back or falling asleep on the window sill. His playmates were Hanne's two leonberger males, who used him as football :-)He was probably not the best constructed dog I have shown, but won on his attitude and showmanship. He entered the ring saying: LOOK AT ME, I'M GORGEOUS! And judges believed him :-)He displayed the same extrovert attitude to life in private.
Laurie came to us as an older dog, and since he had been docked, he couldn't be shown in Norway, but we did show him in Sweden to his International title. He was much loved and spent his last years as a pampered pet. He was probably the smartest corgi I've ever met,- he could open cupboards and drawers to get to the food, not leaving a scratch, and pulled the table cloth to get at the food on the table.
Robbie, as we called our little Scot, had a super head and front, a sweet temperament, but not much of a hind quarter. Still, he gave us some really lovely pups, first and foremost N& S Ch A. Fancy That! Here he sits in my lap with son A. Fancy Man and daughter A. Fancy That! Robbie was himself a bobtail, but didn't pass this on to any of his progeny, so it was not genetic, but an anomaly.
Liam gained one cc and sired one litter before being run over by a car. He sired our first bobtailed champions and lives on through grandchildren with breeders in Sweden. This is a puppy photo, all I could find.
